October 9, 2010
SEOUL
Arrive at Seoul / Incheon international airport
(ICN). We will have one private shuttle bus time reserved for when the majority of participants arrive. If you are arriving at a different
time or day, we will provide you with detailed instructions how to easily get to the hotel on your own. We will have our Korean welcome dinner at the hotel.
October 10, 2010
SEOUL TOUR
We will spend the first day exploring some of the highlights of Seoul, the capital of South Korea. In the morning, we will briefly visit the de-militarized zone separating North and South Korea. Our next stop will be the magnificent
Leeum Samsung Museum, which houses some of the most significant Korean art in existence. After a Western lunch, we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Changdeokgung Palace built in 1395. Time permitting, we will also visit the unusual Buddhist Shaman Inwangsan Temple. Our Western dinner will be in the city.
October 11, 2010
SEOUL – GYEONGJU
After checking out of the hotel we will fly one way (included in the tour price) to the East coast city of Pohang. Our coach will immediately
take us to Homigot lighthouse, which also features a lighthouse themed museum on site. After, we will drive to Songdaemal twin lighthouses and have a Western box lunch on board. Our next stop will be Gyeongju Handicraft village for shopping and workshop
viewing before checking into our hotel in Gyeongju. Our Korean dinner will be at a restaurant in town.
October 12, 2010
GYEONGJU - ULSAN
In the morning we will take a short tour of the historic sites in Gyeongju, including the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Bulguksa Temple built in 528, and Seokguram Grotto built in 742. After a Japanese lunch, we will visit the twin lighthouses in Ulgi and modern Hwaamchu lighthouse before driving to Ulsan.
Our Western dinner will be at the hotel.

ULSAN - BUSAN
Our first stop of the day will be Ganjeolgot Lighthouse before driving South along the coast to Busan. Time permitting we will also visit Nasa, a small quaint fishing village. After a Western lunch, we will spend the afternoon viewing by boat the 7 lighthouses in Busan harbor, including a stop at Oryukdo Island Lighthouse. Our dinner will be a combination Western / Asian buffet.
October 14, 2010
BUSAN - GEOJE
In the morning we will visit the twin Yeongdo lighthouses near Busan, before heading to Gadeokdo island while having our Western box lunch on board or at a nearby park. In the afternoon we will visit Gadeokdo lighthouse via boat, then return to Geoje. Our Korean dinner will be in town. We will spend 2 nights in Geoje.
October 15, 2010
GEOJE
After breakfast, we will go to Jeogu ferry port and take a boat to visit the Somaemuldo island lighthouse. We will have a picnic Korean
lunch on the island, then return to the mainland to visit Seoimal Lighthouse. Time permitting, we will also visit the beautiful Oedo island gardens before returning to the hotel for a Western dinner.
October 16, 2010
GEOJE - YEOSU
After checking out of the hotel we will drive 3 hours on the expressway towards Yeosu, making a stop at Odongdo Lighthouse before having a Western lunch. In the afternoon we will view Kwangyang Passage Lighthouse and visit the Baekyado twin lighthouses. Our Korean dinner will be in Yeosu. We will spend 3 nights in Yeosu.

YEOSU
Today will be a rest day, staying at the same hotel. Our 3 meals will be at the hotel.
October 18, 2010
YEOSU
In the morning we will take a ferry to visit Geomundo island lighthouse, having a Korean
box lunch on board the ferry. Once on the island we will transfer to a small fishing boat to lessen the walking time to the lighthouse. We return to Yeosu and have a Western dinner
in town.
October 19, 2010
YEOSU - HAENAM
After leaving the hotel, our first stop will be the manicured gardens of the Boseong Tea Estate where we will have a chance to sample their products and have lunch. In the afternoon we will drive to Oran to visit Oryongdo
Lighthouse, then continue to Haenam. Our Western will be in town.
October 20, 2010
HAENAM – JEJUDO ISLAND
In the morning, we will take a large ferry to Jejudo island, and have a Western lunch after arrival. Later, we will visit the twin Sanchi lighthouses, and then drive across Jejudo to reach the twin Udo lighthouses. The pathway to Udo is unique because it contains numerous
outdoor miniature Korean lighthouse models. In the evening we will have a Western buffet dinner at the hotel.
October 21, 2010
JEJUDO ISLAND - MOKPO
We return by ferry to the mainland in the morning,
having a Western box lunch on board. In the afternoon, we will visit the twin Mokpo waterway lighthouses, and take a small fishing boat to visit Sihado lighthouse. Our Western dinner will be at the hotel in Mokpo.
October 22, 2010
MOKPO - GUNSAN
After checking out from the hotel, we will drive along the expressway for 2 ½ hours to Gunsan where we will have a Western lunch. After, we proceed to the ferry port in order to visit Maldo island lighthouse. In the evening, we will meet for a Korean dinner in town. We will spend 2 nights in Gunsan.
October 23, 2010
GUNSAN
After breakfast, we will take a ferry to Eocheongdo
island lighthouse, which has been the backdrop for several Korean TV commercials
and soap operas. We will have a Western box lunch on the island before taking the ferry back to Gunsan. Our Western dinner will be in town.
October 24, 2010
GUNSAN - INCHEON
Time permitting after leaving Gunsan, we will stop to visit the well preserved Hwaseong Castle and have a Western box lunch on board. Later in the afternoon, we will either visit Budo lighthouse, or the twin Palmido lighthouses pending approval from the Korean maritime officials. In the evening, we return to Incheon and have our farewell Korean dinner at the hotel.

INCHEON
We will have one private shuttle bus time reserved for when the majority of participants depart. If you are leaving at a different time or day, we will provide you with detailed instructions how to easily get to the airport on your own.
